Samuel’s Haven ministries Inc. Update Brevard N.C. July 12, 2019

The Sun has set on Yesterday

What an amazing God we serve!  as the day was coming to a close in these wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina yesterday,  we were attempting to wrap up the supply list for the needed repairs on the wonderful Mt. Underwood Church Building the Lord has supplied for our Church Services.  We are very thankful for all the wonderful service representatives working at Lowes of Brevard for all their patient help in gathering paint samples as well as a myriad of other items we may need for this renovation project. Everyone was very patient and helpful while Sam sent them hither and yon to gather information and samples.  When we left Lowes of Brevard the rain was beginning to come down, it was a good thing we only had a few supplies to load and unload for the time being.  We drove past Pizza Hut at the Entrance of the Pisgah National Forest but did not have time to stop.  We were going to run into Daggie’s Fine Fast Foods located at 92 New Hendersonville Hwy.  in Pisgah Forest, NC however, we saw they were loading up to leave, we decided to just wait till we were done for the evening before we tried again to get dinner.  Once again we made our way toward the Quarry and turned onto Crab Creek Rd in front of the Triangle stop gas station and followed the road over the lovely river and past the pleasant fields to Talley Rd. on the Left.  After we unloaded the few items we had picked up at Lowes of Brevard into the Mt. Underwood Church Building, we took a few more pictures of the inside of the church for our “Before” shots.  We know the Lord will give us the help we need to make the repairs needed quickly then we will have some very lovely “After” shots to share with everyone!

We came back by way of the Pisgah National Forest with a pleasant view of the river to soothe the frayed hairs of a very busy day.  While you are in Brevard, You must make a visit to the Pisgah National Forest and enjoy the many trails and water falls.  There is so much to do, you cannot do it all in one day!  You HAVE to call Pisgah Stables and book a ride, you would love the three hour, however, they have shorter rides for those of us that are not quite used to sitting in a saddle very long!   Their guides are some of the best in the country and they Love their customers!   We didn’t have much time yesterday, after a full day at Lowes of Brevard to do any sight seeing, but you can take a few days and wander around the Pisgah National Forest on foot, horseback or bike!  Go see the Fish Hatchery after you finish your ride at Pisgah Forest Stables or Slide down Sliding rock and cool yourself off…..A LOT!  it is BRRRRR…..  by the time you finish your day gallivanting around the countryside, you could stop by the Pizza Hut on your way out of the Pisgah National Forest and get a bite to eat.  Now, for those of you who just have to have the sea food side, you can hop across the street from The Pizza Hut and get a bite to eat at the Pisgah Fish Camp!  We had to just head back to the house because we were so tired and still had lots of work to do before we could hit the hay!  We will continue to go forward, spreading the Love of Christ to as many as will receive and help those we can along the way.
